Social Network
So Mark Zuckerberg was just a arrogant, love-sick, nerd avenger?
So Erica Albright is the driving force behind Facebook? The bitch?
Either way, social network is the most non-romantic romantic drama. The most unlikely heroine in movies. It's all the anger behind the break up that sparks the creative instinct. Mark wants to live better, climb higher to show his ex-girlfriend that he is valuable. He's not someone to give up on. In the end of the movie, he's still alone in a meeting room staring at pictures of Erica on Facebook. What a desperate romantic.
There are many scenes in the movie demonstrating Mark's anti-social behavior. It's irony that someone's suppose to come up with this idea of online society being anti-social.
Being online 24x7 doesn't mean closer, technology may make our life more convenient but it doesn't change the human nature. Can a relationship be measured by how many text messages two exchange? Or can a relationship be measured at all?
I don't know. I don't have test messages and I don't have Facebook. I'm still buying CDs and I am not ashamed I don't have an iPhone.
