I am Legend

I am Legend was just a so-so movie. Another remake after 30+ year did not help it to become a good movie.

Talked about a deserted city, I would pick 28 days later. Legend was missing that atmospheric and desperation that 28 days portrayed.

Legend tried to be a more science fiction/ drama other than action flick. On some level, Will Smith did a good job convincing us he knew how to act. The script was just too hopeful somehow. But then I thought that's how the legend has become.

The link below provide the alternate ending of the movie. The vampires/ zombies was more impossible than the original. I didn't think it's a better ending like some others did. It's just another ending that was trying to add new dimensions to the villains in the last 3 minutes of the movie.

To make a movie that the original plot had been borrowed by so many other movies - one really needed to make it more unique to make it stand out from all the duplicates. Otherwise, it just ended up becoming one of them.
