Last Day

If there is one day left in my life, I would like to spend it with my family. I may also want to briefly contact my friends.

If I could see it coming, I would enjoy it till the very last moment of the light.

A bit of sorrow is probably unavoidable, we cannot pretend we don't know. But since we're all having a next destination, might as well wrap this one up properly before exiting.

Don't feel sorry that you are walking out that door or someone you love is: eventually we'll all be elsewhere. We are current bound in this space, there's no telling who's leaving first, yet we are all termed tenants, and this moving day will come.

I will try to do things that is important to me now. Chances are we don't know when our last day will be and even if we know by then, we may be too involved to get all we want done.

Edision Chan

Edision Chan was not a very good singer or actor in Hong Kong. Infernal Affairs II was probably the only DVD one can find in America with his face on the cover.

His name and face did show up in the international news these days. Namely the internet explicit pictures/ video scandal from HK. Last time an individual appeared in the news here was 'Bus uncle', a post middle aged male who's loud and rude. This time we have a Canton-pop artist who had a library wealth of pictures of his sex acts with various actresses and female singers.

I don't know how 'bad' and what liberty means to Edision - I am not a follower of his music. All I could tell was he's an irresponsible individual, and the girls involved were probably doped and/or ignorant.

Edision Chan finally made his name back in Canada. It may not be part of his plan to get his 15 minutes of fame across the world, but he's known as part of the HK scene. Maybe next time when I visit I should take a picture with Ed - the new HK spokesman. Don't get too excited, I don't think it would be those pictures.

On Toshiba HD-A3

While I enjoy the picture quality of the HD-DVD and the ability to output 1080i through component video. The A3 is set to region 1, does not play PAL disc, does not have DIVX support, and takes a long time to start up or load a disc.

The upconverting feature is decent, but I already owned a few others.
'The 7 free HD-DVDs' is the only thing that makes it an easier deal, but then the killer is the WB decision.

Unversial released plenty of movies that I cared for lately, but to buy a HD-Player just to deal will their materials (and Paramount's) exclusively is a bit much..
