An intimate evening of grand illusion

We watched David Copperfield's performance on TV so many times, the performer has become such a household name that is almost impossible to not recognize.

David Copperfield visited Calgary for 3 days, and he put up 8 shows within the short time frame. No wonder he claimed he performed more than any other pop icons in the world.

The illusions Copperfield performed last night was every bit as spectacular as anything you saw in his previous TV appearances. However, he looked tired and bored. Traveling between cities and performing 2 - 3 shows everyday, facing the same 'different' audiences, and 'acting'/ re-live pretty much the same scenes in every show is not real fun.

Copperfield showed his self-awareness by making jokes on his own bad haircut. But at the same time, the display of his "world records" throughout the show and on his website is a hard sell for his success over facts in quantity. This tour will continue till mid April (without much days off in between), and I believe Copperfield may be obsessed to make this one another record of his career.
